There are two external Examinations administered at O-Level;
At IGCSE, students may follow either the Core Curriculum only or the Extended Curriculum which involves both the Core and Supplement.
Candidates who have followed the Core curriculum and take the relevant papers (Papers 1 and 3) are eligible for the award of Grades C to G only.
Candidates who have followed the Extended curriculum and take the relevant Papers (Papers 2 and 4) are eligible for the award of Grades A* to E only.
A student who wishes to study Mathematics at A-Level is advised to follow the extended curriculum and must attain a minimum of Grade C.
A – LEVEL:
The Syllabus enables students to take Examinations at AS and A-levels.
Candidates for A-level Mathematics take four Papers of which two may have been taken at an earlier examination session for an AS Mathematics qualification.
At AS students study Pure Mathematics 1, which constitutes 60% 0f the total As marks and Mechanics 1, which constitutes 40%.
At A-Level students study Pure Mathematics 2 and 3 (60%) and Statistics 1 (40%)
