The English Department seeks to satisfy the goals of our school’s mission statement by engaging the students in critical thinking, reading, and writing as they continue their spiritual, moral and intellectual development.  All pupils study English and Literature in English to IGCSE level.  The AS and A-Level course is intended to give those students the opportunity to be accepted into University.

The Department strengthens education of students by developing a deepened understanding of language and literacy, the value of critical reading and effective writing, as well as communication in any of the languages to fit into the modern world seamlessly.

We seek to foster a love of literature and of languages in our students. To this end we l provide students in all emphasis areas with a coherent curricular framework and relevant, well-structured lessons. We teach students to listen, speak, read, and write effectively.
